WEPAN 2015 Change Leader Forum: Roadmap to Inclusion

WEPAN (Women in Engineering ProActive Network) is excited to convene the 2015 Change Leader Forum: Roadmap to Inclusion: Engineering Excellence for the 21st Century, in Broomfield, CO, from June 9-11, 2015.  Pre-conference workshops and an evening kick-off event are scheduled for June 9th for both novice and expert participants working to promote women in engineering change initiatives.   WEPAN will continue its initiative to accelerate culture change to achieve the full inclusion of diverse communities of women in engineering.

The 2015 WEPAN Change Leader Forum will 1) drive formation of ideas for using the Four Frames to create culture change in your organization and 2) guide formation of action plans for individuals, individual organizations and collaborations.

WEPAN is championing a purposeful rebuilding of the culture in engineering education and the engineering workplace. Research suggests that substantial culture change in engineering will require a broader spectrum of partners working at multiple levels.  Consequently, the Forum will continue to be organized around the Framework for Promoting Gender Equity in Organizations[1] (see descriptions below), which describes four ways (prepare women, create equal opportunity, value difference, re-envision work culture) that organizations can promote gender equity. Moving from one Frame to the next, the Four Frames progressively address complexities of organizational cultures and take into account a greater number of factors.
