This is the fourth joint NAMEPA and WEPAN National Conference.  The purpose of the conference is to share and investigate ideas that diversify the field of engineering through increasing the participation of women and minorities. Conference topics include: Diversity, Policy, How to Get Funding, Cultivating Tomorrow's Talent, and Effective Messaging

Paper Guidelines

 

This describes the requirements for the 2010 NAMEPA/WEPAN conference paper submissions.

In preparation for publishing the online conference proceedings, each paper must include the following REQUIRED information:
1. Title of paper
2. Author name(s), First & Last
3. Author(s) affiliation(s) – institution, organization, company name(s) and location(s)
4. Abstract (may be identical to the original submission abstract or a revision)

You may also want to consider including these
OPTIONAL information types:
5. More complete address information beyond #3, above  (department name, street address, author email address, etc.)
6. A “name suffix” (PhD, PE, MS, etc.)
7. Up to 4 keywords or phrases describing the paper content

Thank you to everyone who submitted an abstract to the 2010 NAMEPA/WEPAN conference.  We are currently reviewing those abstracts and will notify authors during the week of November 16th about their status.

Abstract Submissions - Deadline extended to Friday October 30th

 

Abstracts (350 words maximum) must be submitted for all the presentations at the upcoming joint conference.  This includes

  • paper sessions
  • panels and discussions
  • showcase items
  • workshops
To submit an abstract you will first need to create a login for the conference site.  Then to submit an abstract, log into the conference site and either select "Proposal Submission" from the menu bar to the right, or "Getting Started" from the menu bar at the top of the page.
