Keeping it ReAL is a free workshop for academic librarian researchers in BC. Our aim is to foster a research culture among participants, and create an open and supportive network for learning, sharing and supporting academic research. We acknowledge the Sḵwxwú7mesh Úxwumi ̱ xw (Squamish), xʷməθkʷəyə̓ m (Musqueam), səlílw� ətaʔɬ (TsleilWaututh), q̓ícə̓ y̓(Katzie), and kʷikʷəƛ̓ əm (Kwikwetlem) peoples, on whose traditional territories Simon Fraser University's three campuses stand. By recognizing the Unceded Traditional Coast Salish territories, we aspire to create space for reconciliation through dialogue and decolonizing practices.

The Keeping it ReAL 2021 organizing committee and BC Academic Libraries Section (BCALS) are happy to announce that registration for ‘Building Capacity’ is now open! Our complementary virtual events will take place on November 8 and 9, 2021.Registration is free and open to everyone. You can register for just one of the days or join us for both days. Both events are entirely virtual.Monday November 8, 2021, 9:30am-3:00pm PSTDay one will be hosted by Keeping it ReAL (Research in Academic Libraries) and will focus on building capacity for research in academic libraries.Check out the Keeping it ReAL conference program

ReAL2020: Knowledge Mobilization
November 13, 2020 – November 14, 2020The theme for this year’s event is Knowledge Mobilization (KMb). The Social Sciences and Humanities Research council describes knowledge mobilization as related “to the production and use of research results, including knowledge synthesis, dissemination, transfer, exchange, and co-creation or co-production by researchers and knowledge users.” As a researcher or team of researchers, how are you moving your knowledge to action?
