Abstract
The University of Alberta Libraries (UAL) has taken a campus leadership role in advocating and developing services in support of (OA) publishing. UAL is committed to the principles of Open Access (OA) and as such, we include OA products in our collections, and provide support for members of the University of Alberta community who want to publish in OA formats. Through a combination of promotion, service development, publishing support, repository development, and collections enhancement initiatives, UAL is developing a strong support system for OA publishing on campus. This paper will highlight the work of the University of Alberta Libraries to date, looking at challenges and successes, and outline next steps for development.
