Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences
Concordia University, Montréal
31 May - 03 June 2010
The Society for Socialist Studies will be holding its annual meetings at the Congress of Humanities and Social Sciences at Concordia University in Montréal, Québec, from 31 May – 03 June 2010.
The theme of the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences in Montréal in 2010 is “Connected Understandings,” offering an opportunity for the Society for Socialist Studies to consider what “connected understandings” might mean for the left today. What do possibilities of connections and disconnections mean in terms of projects on the left, within Canada and around the world? The Society for Socialist Studies invites proposals for sessions, roundtables, and papers addressing any aspect of the theme of “Connections, Capitalism, Control.”
The deadline for proposing sessions open for papers is 15 January 2010; the deadline for proposing invited roundtables is 15 January 2010; the deadline for submitting a paper proposal for an open session is 31 January 2010. Open session and invited roundtables can be submitted through this site; if you wish to submit a paper proposal, please send a proposal (maximum 100 words) directly to the session organisers.
If you wish to propose a paper which does not fit within an existing session, you may submit it through this site, and the programme committee will attempt to find a place for it. Any such paper proposals should be submitted by 15 January 2010.
